Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 19, 2026

Short version: FolderForge runs entirely on your Mac. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Full stop.

What data we collect

FolderForge is a local macOS application. It does not connect to the internet to function and does not have a server backend. We collect zero personal data.

What FolderForge stores locally

The following data is stored only on your Mac, in macOS UserDefaults, and never leaves your device:

Notifications

FolderForge requests permission to send local macOS notifications to alert you when a project structure is successfully created. These notifications are generated locally on your device and are not sent to any external service.

Accessibility permission

If you enable the global shortcut (⌥⌘N), FolderForge requests macOS Accessibility permission. This is used exclusively to detect the keyboard shortcut while other apps are in focus. No other keyboard input is read or recorded.

Purchases and payments (Pro)

If you purchase FolderForge Pro, payment is processed through a third-party payment provider. We receive only the confirmation that a valid license was purchased — we never see your credit card or bank details. The payment provider's own privacy policy applies to that transaction.

This website

This website (folderforge.pages.dev) is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) as part of their infrastructure. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics scripts on this website.

Email list

If you sign up for our early access waitlist, your email address is stored solely to notify you when FolderForge Pro launches. We do not share it with third parties and you can unsubscribe at any time by emailing us.
